Jakobb Sande was born in Dale, in Sunnfjord, Norway on 1st December 1906.
He died in 1967 at the age of 60.
By then he had published nine collections of poetry and four books of short stories.
Sande's Collected Poetry has sold more copies than any other book of lyric poetry in Norway
